The primary duties of the Water Section Manager includes planning and managing all aspects of municipal water systems planning, design and construction projects. Specific types of projects include water treatment facilities, pumping stations, storage reservoirs, lift stations, a variety of pipeline related projects and master planning. Also responsible for the operations of the Water section including staff development, morale, quality control and marketing support. Additional duties include serving as the client manager, establishing client relations, marketing and contract solidification. Participates in reviews with various governing agencies for code compliance. Conducts work sessions for design development and contract document preparation in conjunction with other staff. Is responsible to coordinate workload through the entire project development to complete documents on schedule. Is responsible to track the financial aspects of the projects, and coordinates and adjusts the work effort with the team to ensure that the work is completed on budget within the parameters of the agreed to schedule. Works with the Business/Accounting Manager or Project Controller and the Department Manager for project reviews and with company management on an as needed basis.
