The primary duties of the Highway Engineer is to serve in a technical role, under the direction of a Project Manager on the engineering development of roadway projects. As such, you will work as a member of a roadway design team for moderate to large projects and work independently on smaller projects while overseeing the work of Technicians and possibly other junior-level Engineers. Project involvement will range from site feasibility analysis to final design. Experience should include urban and rural roadways, interchange and intersection design, site planning, preparation of concept alignments, geometrical layout and CADD base alignment plans using ODOT or AASHTO standards, as well as a knowledge and understanding of all components of a roadway plans package. While the primary function of this position is production oriented, this position may also assist in the management of larger projects or manage smaller projects. design. - 4+ years Ohio project experience
