Position Description
As a Water Resources Engineer, will use design engineering and modeling techniques for governmental water resource projects, including flood control, river design, stream grade control structures, levees, stream channel restoration/rehabilitation, and watershed issues. Will perform hydraulics & hydrology modeling using HEC-HMS and HEC-RAS, will prepare base maps for watershed delineations, and delineate floodplains using AutoCAD, ArcView GIS with Spatial Analyst and 3D Analyst. Will prepare plan and profile sheets in AutoCAD with Land Desktop for storm drains, open channels, and other drainage/flood control facilities, will compute peak discharges using watershed models, and will engage in geomorphic assessments and analyses. Will perform pre-and post-runoff calculations, will design runoff and water quality mitigation measures, including runoff control or water quality detention basins, and will perform field inspections and surveys.



Keyword(s):

Water Resources Engineer, storm water systems, hydraulic modeling, HEC-HMS; 090536 BSCE required, MS degree preferred.

7+ years of experience in water resources engineering projects is required.

PE license required.

Experience with HEC-1, HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, GEO-RAS, storm drain system analysis required.

Excellent oral and written communication skills.
