Sr. Water Resources Engineer/ Project Manager will be able to provide project and team management, project engineering and technical task management including some H&H modeling, drainage system design; collect, assimilate, and present data in reports, memos and public forums; lead production of design calculations and technical reports; and lead preparation of engineering plans and specifications for design of detention facilities, storm drains, flood control facilities, and other hydraulic structures. Will work independently as well as plan, organize, and assist groups of medium to large teams of professionals and technicians dependent on project/task. This position will provide senior level guidance, mentorship and QA/QC assistance to multiple HDR offices and must be able to work effectively with staff and management teams in these offices.

Will be able to prepare proposals, scopes of work and contract cost estimates.

May be viewed as a technical expert with recognized authority in an area of specialization that resolves problems of greater scope and complexity with primary responsibility for projects in Southern Nevada and the Southwest (NV, AZ, UT and NM). BSCE required. MSCE preferred. PE required, NV PE Preferred. 15+ years Water Resources engineering experience. Experience in arid-region hydrology/hydraulics and drainage/flood control design, and DOT drainage design criteria. Experience in FEMA studies and map revisions. Familiarity with Clark County RFCD requirements/ guidelines beneficial. Experience with HEC-1, HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, GEO-RAS, storm drain system analysis required. Self motivated, able to work independently and with project teams in multiple offices to completion of a task.
