Senior Industrial Engineer

Actively pursues the identification of opportunities for process improvement and increased efficiency

Prepares and communicates project justifications. Designs trials/tests of projects justifications. Accurately reports trial results to decision makers.

Manages all aspects of new process diffusion (diffusion timeline, resource allocation, end user education, etc.)

Identifies project risks in timely manner. Escalates risks to project sponsors such that projects remain on timeline

Works with other Industrial Engineers and project management staff to coordinate the rollout of new processes to minimize system disruption

Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering, or Bachelor of Science in another engineering discipline and Master of Science in Industrial Engineering preferred.

5+ years experience as an Industrial Engineer in a process improvement role, including paid internships (Masters of Science in Industrial Engineering, Engineering Management, or similar field to count as 1 year of experience)

1+ years experience as an Industrial Engineer in healthcare

Documented Industrial Engineering continuing education (certifications, specialized formal training, etc.)

Documented success meeting the Principal Accountabilities of an Alegent Health Industrial Engineer (accountabilities 1 10 of this document)

WORKING CONDITIONS

Diverse environments including normal office workplaces and patient care areas. Requires constant concentration on a very large volume of work, which must be completed in a limited period of time. Involves daily deadlines, which are inflexible. Must be able to take concrete action from direction in vague terms. Frequent travel between locations throughout the Omaha-Council Bluffs area and occasional travel to rural locations is required.
